Pugnacious- eager and ready to fight
While children once huddles in front of their radios and television sets, waiting for the latest updates on the fates of heroes such as John Glenn and Neil Armstrong, modern space missions all seem to end the same way: with indistinct pictures of orange rocks, followed by impassioned hyperbole from scientist types attempting to convince us how totally awesome the images are.

Serene

Serene- quiet and at peace, peaceful; calm
Looking at this scenario makes everything seems so serene.
potent: Like everyday, there are ups and downs. Today was that day. I woke up, went to breakfast with some friends and then got ready for the day. At about noon I made my way over to the mall with my friend. She had told me that she wanted to look for a new perfume therefore we went to Macy's. I am not a perfume person at all so I just helped her look for perfumes that she thought smelled good. Finally, when she bought her new perfume she sprayed it on and it was a horrble and potent smell. I have never smelled anything so strong for that amount of time; it was a whole day!!

Intangible:

To me, the greatest intangible is the ability to raise the game of the players around you. It’s when the players around you feel that they’ve got a better chance at winning because you’re in the lineup or manning your position in the field. You might not hit a game-winning home run or perform a highlight reel defensive play that snuffs out a potential rally, but the fact you’re in the game tells them that something is going to happen where your actions will spell the difference between tears of joy and tears of sorrow.

You Don't Always Get What You Want!
Every Sunday Jerry and Mary, his mother, would always go to the grocery store together. It was always a fun day until Jerry had seen something that he wanted to buy.
Mary: Could you grab a gallon of milk sweetheart?
Jerry: Sure mom!
As Jerry walked to the dairy section, all of a sudden he saw and action figure that he had been wanting for a while. He grabbed the milk and ran back to his mother.
Jerry: Mom! Mom! They have the Bobby Action Figure! Can I get it? Please?
Mary: Not today Jerry, maybe santa will bring it for you for Christmas.
Jerry: This is not fair!!!
Mary: Jerry, you don't always get what you want when you want it.
The whole Jerry had a sullen attitude.
Mary: Jerry what's wrong, you haven't touched a thing on your plate?
Jerry: I'm not hungry!
Mary: Well, I would like for you to eat your meat before you leave the table please.
Jerry: No!
Jerry was sent to his room after snapping at his mother. He had learned that having a sullen attitude is not the way to get something that you may desire.
